Monday always gets a bad rap. The realization that the weekend is over and it’s back to work and time to get back on the grind. Well we aren’t talking about those blues. We want to share with you the many beautiful shades of blue.
You can start with a palette for a color and get so many options. The various shades and hues of a color can have awesome results.
You can incorporate a bold color with accents. A few pillows or a throw will go a long way color. It will also ease you into a bold color.
Adding blue to a kitchen is bold, but creative. Blue on the island is a clever way to add color to a room that gets a lot of use. It’s simple and understated, but still impactful.
This room by West Elm is masculine but rich and chic. The dark shade of blue actually is very smart because there is a lot of natural light that doesn’t make the room look too small.
Using materials not as they were originally intended can also be creative wins! Taking indigo textiles as art is just genius. Indigo patterns are very unique and beautiful, why not highlight that and show them off in a frame.
Or you can just say “what the heck” and go all out with the blues. Sometimes it’s good to have a little drama. YOLO!
Or, maybe not. Sometimes simplicity is best. I actually like the pop of blue on a stark white wall with very muted accessories. The blue grounds the wall.
Whatever shade you prefer, use it wisely. Enjoy the blues, you just may enjoy them. Here is a little more inspiration.
