Pinspiration: My Favorite Things

This week’s pinspiration comes from a board I started when I first got on the Pinterest site. These images are just things that make me smile or inspire me in some way. Sometimes it just takes an image of something to make you feel inspired to move, create, or design.

This will also serve as the Favorite Five post for this week. I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately, so the favorites are all from there.

These glasses are something that reminds me of my childhood. My grandmother had a pink milk glass bowl like this and I was always so fascinated with the coloring of the bowl.

I love everything vintage, so this stove is just dreamy to me! I love that the color is bold and just pops in this light kitchen. I love all the details of this stove, and the hood is like the icing on the cupcake…literally.

So, a part of design is branding. Company branding is a small obsession of mine. I love all things font and design, and these simple jars appeal to my taste quite a bit. Simple is the best way to go most times when it comes to branding your business. Keep your message simple and to the point. It won’t get lost on your audience. These jars are just lovely to me.

This decanter is both pretty and functional. I love the detail along the bottom, it just adds to the visual beauty of this piece. This crystal piece makes me visualize an executive pouring cognac for himself and a colleague in the 60s. An homage to “Mad Men” for sure.

I love my city, and this pillow is everything! The font and vintage atlas cover just makes it all better. This is even cooler because one of those suburbs is the little town inside Detroit near my house. Hamtramck is a city surrounded by Detroit, spanning only a square mile. It’s diverse and full of life.

Now this diy project is one I’ve held onto for a couple of years. I’ve always wanted to try the project, but didn’t know what I would use the jars for. Now I think I’ll just use them for an impromptu photo shoot for summer.

Now Kimbra hasn’t really been mainstream lately, but I still love her the same now as I did when I saved this video pin.  This image is from her song “Cameo Lover” which was a great song  here’s the link to the video here.

Now what girl doesn’t like a little sparkle. These Swarovski gems would be great to have in any jeweled items. You can never have too much sparkle.

Here is the link to the full board for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy this holiday weekend and be sure not to eat too much!
