This is a new blog series that I wanted to share with you. I am a visual person. Imagery inspires me. So I wanted to share with you some images that have inspired me on different topics/subjects. Things that will hopefully inspire you as well. This week I wanted to share with you some images relevant to Home Staging.
Staging is something that is important when selling your home because it gives potential buyers an idea of how their lives will fit in the space. But staging is for more than just for selling your home. Styling your everyday home will help keep things tidy and inviting.
I love clean lines and minimalist design. Sometimes it’s best to keep things simple whether it’s staging or styling your home. Keep the furniture to a minimum and the accessories simple.
Using things you already have in your home makes things simple. Fruit can be an accessory and paired with cookbooks gets the clutter down, and gives your items new purpose.
Creating vignettes throughout your home will help create focus points. Create one in each room to draw potential buyer’s eye through your home. If you’re just styling your home, create a story throughout your home to connect all the rooms together. Whether it’s one wall you focus on or a sitting area, make it represent you.
Don’t forget the bathroom! Bathrooms and kitchens sell a home. So don’t neglect the bathroom. It is a necessary place in your home, so why not make it welcoming and beautiful. Creating a small centerpiece for the bathroom will just help soften the room and add character.
Simplicity can be warm and comforting too. That’s where accessories come in. Adding accessories doesn’t have to be cluttered. Using the right mix of patterns, prints, and textures will help to add dimension and comfort to any space. Especially in the living room, that’s usually the first place people see when they walk into your home.
These are just a few images that I came across that inspired me this morning. Home staging is very important when looking to sell your home. But styling your home can be just as important in making your house a home. Check out the full pinterest board here.
Feel free to share your styling choices. I’d love to see your style!
