Mindful Monday | New Year, New Focus

2026 is here and, just like everyone else, I have been thinking hard about what I want my focus to be for the year. In my wellness journey, and in life overall, I wanted to come up with one word that would help keep me motivated throughout the year to help elevate my journey and wellbeing.

After much thought, I think “expand” will be my word for the year. Last year, my word was “intention” and with that came a lot of revelations and new outlooks for life and what I really wanted to accomplish and achieve. I lost 20 pounds, did assisted pull ups (something I was always scared of since middle school), worked out with a personal trainer, changed my mindset, and so many things! The best thing that came out of it all was that I chose me. I showed up for myself and made big changes in my life. We started a garden, and that was the biggest fulfillment period of 2025! I gained so much peace and presence of mind in my garden, and we can’t wait to start this year with a new plan in mind. I will definitely share that process this year with you here.
