Thoughtful Tuesday | Goals, Goals, Goals!

I have always been a planner, so setting goals is something I do pretty frequently. The past few years I have been working on being more consistent with the actions to get to the goals. Starting my self care and wellness journey, one thing I wanted to do was get off of blood pressure medication. Of course I want to lose weight, but the medication was a huge target for me. I lost a decent amount of weight and noticed my blood pressure was starting to be more regulated, so I had the conversation with my doctor about getting off of them. We came up with a plan, and as of today I am proud to say that I no longer need the medicine to regulate my blood pressure.

I am beyond proud of myself for working towards this goal. I never needed the medicine in the past, and I knew I could do the work to get off of them. I did it!

I have learned that I am worth the effort I put into other things and people. Self care is not selfish, it is necessary. Take care of yourself and thrive, for yourself. Happy Tuesday!
